Another 2007 Reunion Look Back

Three major activities, a banquet/dance, a traditional family picnic, and the traditional send off.
Banquet/Dance, Saturday, September 1, 2007
The fabulous grand ballroom of the Sheraton North Houston Hotel was the sight of this gala affair.  See the Facilities/Souvenir Book Page for in depth information about this venue.  The Reunion Planning Organization's detailed planning (i.e., the menu, music, decorations, program, presentations, video slide shows to honor deceased family members and of various past family activities, and so much more) paid off.  With Josena Malonson-Auzenne and Ken Jones as Mistress and Master of Ceremonies, this event was a most memorable occasion.  Sidney Malonson was the banquet speaker. Roy Douglas Malonson was recognized for organizing the first family reunion in 1984.  He admonished the next generation to step up and take the family to the next level with focus on history and a scholarship fund.  Where are you next generation?

Tribute to Deceased Family Members

This tribute during the reunion banquet, was well received. The memorial was a slide show presentation.  You can view the presentation via this link. Tribute to Deceased Family Members.
Malonson's Legends Tribute

The legends tribute was a highlight of the banquet.  Tributes were offered to Mary Vivian Murray, Betty Malonson, James & Carolyn Parker, Christiana Melancon Chaisson, Georgia Malonson, Horace Malonson, Juanita Holliman, Lorraine Malonson, Minor Paul & Maggie Malonson, and Robert & Wilma Malonson.

Graduate and Military Recognition
Mary Malonson, Matthew Malonson, Meagan Hawkins, Brittany Herman, Chace Auzenne, Garrett Auzenne, and Meagan Allen were graduates during 2006 & 2007.  Family military personnel recognized included Tiffany Washington and Clay Malonson.

Family Picnic, Sunday, September 2, 2007
H&H Ranchoffered great food and fun for all. Swimming, paddling, swinging and playing volleyball were just a few of the many activities that young and old family members enjoyed.
The Traditional Send Off Family Meal, Monday, September 3, 2007
If you had to leave the city before the best fish fry in the world, you missed a true highlight of the renunion.  There was plenty of food and liquid refreshment to go along with Madell's and James' absolutely perfect set up for this activity.
